Whitefly are small white creeps that feed directly on sap from leaves.  They can be found throughout the growing season, and mate continually.  In the greater Charlotte area, whitefly are important pests of gardenia.  Their feeding results in dwarf leaves, distorted leaves, chlorosis, and they create honeydew leading to sooty mold.

These little creeps can be hard to control.  A series  of  foliar sprays, or systemically applied products are recommended.
